The old cs knives are nice. I have an esee 5 as well and its an excellent knife as well. Haha I don't know how I ended up with three. You should check out fallkniven, they make beautiful knives. Another company is al Mar, I just picked up one of the old sears before they put the stupid holes in the handle. Its made from s30v in the USA.

Yes it does. You have the recon tanto right? I agree with you buck, tops, Gerber any of the brands like that are completely worthless. If you like your cs recon tanto you'll like thisthe tanto tip have issues sheering off, it doesn't have as much edge as a drop point and as I'm sure you've realized it's not fun to sharpen. Fallkniven use to be a distributor for cs and decided they could make a better knife. Fallknivens forging process is second to none they have exceptional designs with all their knives i.e. a rolled edge with 40% more steel to help compensate for san mai's tendency to chip. I've been evolved in back country camping and hiking for years as well as work at a knife shop a day or two a week and this is what I have gathered from my experiences but don't take my word for it, check out the reviews online. This is truly an exceptional knife and the only reason I am selling it is because I don't need three of them. Let me know if you want to check it out
